How vulnerable is your country?

The GCCA+ Index is a climate-resilient development index developed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in line with the GCCA initiative objectives and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The open-source and publicly available GCCA+ Index is made up of 34 country-specific indicators covering social, economic and environmental aspects critical for ‘climate-resilient’ development. The tool allows an ex-ante evaluation of the key features of vulnerability to climate change and provides useful information on a country’s vulnerability to climate change to inform planning processes.

To learn more on how the index works, visit the JRC website where you can examine the factors behind the index and the indicators.
