Small island developing states (SIDS) are in the front line of climate change, and no-where is this clearer than in the Indian Ocean. The EU is working in Mauritius, Seychelles and Comoros to help farmers, fishing communities and the tourism industry become more resilient to the impacts of climate change. From building defences against sea level rise, to planting drought-resistant crops, the EU’s flagship GCCA+ programme is leading the way in adaptation and mitigation.
